Article/blog writers face common scams day to day. Article writing scams are the fraudulent scheme or operation by which someone gets the work done but no payment is made there after having the work done. Keeping in view the following point, you can avoid the scams in article writing. 


  1. Never pay a registration fee to someone for opening an account on a particular website of a client who asks you to open an account there and he says then he will give you article writing work. 
  2. So do not write a first free article for any client who says write the first sample article. (this scam sometimes works and sometimes not) Write your samples first and then apply for freelance writer jobs. How can someone hire you without having a look at your writing style? 
  3. If the clients say he will pay you on a monthly basis. (it is like the number 2 already mentioned) sometimes it is real but sometimes it may be a scam. Mostly for beginners it is a scam. How to deal with this situation? Just ask the client that you should pay for my first article and then I will write more for you. If someone pays you for the first time then he will continue paying you in future too, generally these kinds of clients are not scams. 

Important  TIP for avoiding the scammers 

Take a screenshot of the article page from ms word file, just show the intro and conclusion and hide the middle part. (discuss this first with your client that you will submit a screenshot first and once agreed upon the contents, you will submit the text file to the client.) also encircle the word count in your document/ snapshot e.g, if you have been asked to write an article/ blog post of 1000 words then show him your written words that may be 970 or 1023 etc. if you have set a per word payment then ask him to pay for the written/ shown in snapshot word then submit him the text file of your article/ blog post.  Remember to be humble and civilized with the clients always as you are the representative/ambassador of your country when talking to someone abroad.  Dealing and communication with clients is much important in the field of freelance article writing. Satisfy the client that you will be available to revise the article/ blog-post if he requires. Trust is built between you and the client once the first payment is released. There may be a mishap in case a  professional issue occurs during the course of your work.
